A message from the artist:

There is something so special to me about this perspective. From behind, watching a child run off to explore their wider world. I feel that it draws us in, makes us look at the world through their eyes. These are my favourite pieces to paint. I love capturing the likeness of the child down to their tiny little toes. More than a portrait, it's a larger piece of art. This little one is Asher, aged 2 and a half, exploring the woodlands in New Zealand.
